Sunday was a great day! We had already had all our paper work ready to be discharged from the hospital first thing Sunday morning and we were ready! We hadn't seen the kids since Thursday and we were really anxious to see what they would think about Cooper. We were gone from the hospital before 10am. Here is Cooper all secured in his seat and ready for the ride home.
When we got to town the kids were just about to be heading out to eat with Mimi and Pawpaw so we were able to get home and unpack and sort of settle in before they would be back. It was a good thing and that worked out perfectly. We were all so happy to see each other and they looked so much bigger and older - I had been with this tiny newborn for so long that my babies suddenly seemed so much bigger to me. ;( When Cam and Livy came in the house Cooper was just sleeping in his swing. They went straight for him. We introduced them to each other and it was love at first sight! They stood there so good and sweet just looking at him. With the occasional pointing and saying Baby or Cooper.
Camron has been so good and for the most part he just plays and goes on about his own business. Olivia, on the other hand, is trying to be a little mother hen and she just can't stay away. The only time she leaves his side is if he is sleeping. The minute he wakes up or cries she is right there to see what the problem is. And especially when I feed him - she has to be right there the entire time. She holds the bottle with me and rubs his head saying, "awww, baby Cooper". It's really cute but I have to really watch her so she is not too attentive to him. Here she is perched on the arm of the couch watching over him.
We are having so much fun watching these kids and seeing how they are being effected by this big change in their lives. I hope they will be ok and I am trying really hard to make sure I give them all some individual attention so they each feel like THEY are my special baby.

It's hard to divide time, isn't it? But the love and interaction comes naturally with my girls. Hope your kids adjust well!

Awww...he's so handsome! I'm glad all is going so well for you all! Even on rough days (and nights that are sleepless), just keep thanking God for your blessings. You're doing good, Dory! Sending lots of love and happiness your way!
